This 5-day, 4-night Beijing journey offers a comprehensive exploration of China’s historic capital, connecting its most celebrated imperial monuments, cultural landmarks and traditional neighbourhoods in a smooth and convenient route.

Discover the Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City, National Museum of China, Mutianyu Great Wall, Prince Gong’s Mansion and Summer Palace, while also experiencing the lively atmosphere of old Beijing’s hutongs and modern landmarks such as the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube.

From magnificent imperial architecture and the legendary Great Wall to centuries of cultural heritage and everyday neighbourhood life, the itinerary brings together the classic highlights of Beijing at a relaxed and comfortable pace.

Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in Beijing & Old City Exploration

Upon arrival in Beijing, your private guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area. During the transfer to your pre-booked hotel, your guide will introduce Beijing’s major landmarks and their historical background.

If your arrival time permits, begin your exploration at the Temple of Heaven, including the iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Please note that the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is closed on Mondays.

Continue to Qianmen Pedestrian Street, Dashilan and Xianyukou Hutong, where historic commercial streets and traditional neighbourhoods offer an introduction to the atmosphere of old Beijing.

Day 2 | Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City & National Museum

Begin the day with a walk across Tiananmen Square, one of Beijing’s most recognisable landmarks.

Continue to the magnificent Forbidden City, exploring the historic imperial palace and discovering the traditions, architecture and history of China’s royal dynasties.

Later, visit the National Museum of China for a deeper look into thousands of years of Chinese history and civilisation.

Both the Forbidden City and the National Museum are closed on Mondays.

Finish the day with a leisurely walk along Wangfujing Street, experiencing the lively atmosphere of central Beijing.

Day 3 | Mutianyu Great Wall & Olympic Park

Day 3 | Mutianyu Great Wall & Olympic Park

Travel to the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most scenic sections of the Great Wall surrounding Beijing.

Take the shuttle bus and cable car up the mountain, then walk along the ancient fortifications while enjoying sweeping views of the surrounding mountains.

For a more playful descent, return from the wall by toboggan, combining spectacular scenery with a memorable experience.

Afterwards, visit Beijing Olympic Park and see the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, two landmarks that represent the modern architectural character of the capital.

Day 4 | Shichahai, Prince Gong’s Mansion & Summer Palace

Begin the day with a relaxing walk around Shichahai, where lakes, hutongs and traditional courtyard neighbourhoods preserve the atmosphere of old Beijing.

Continue to Prince Gong’s Mansion, an elegant historic residence and garden that provides insight into the lifestyle of the Qing dynasty aristocracy.

Later, explore the magnificent Summer Palace, wandering among traditional pavilions, landscaped gardens and lakeside scenery.

The combination of architecture, water and classical garden design offers a poetic introduction to Beijing’s imperial landscape traditions.

Day 5 | Beijing Departure

Enjoy your final moments in Beijing before your scheduled departure.

What are deposit & payment requirements?

1. Deposit: Once you are ready to confirm your booking, a non-refundable planning deposit of USD 300 per person is required to start arranging your trip. This amount will be credited toward your total trip cost and deducted from the final balance.

2. Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid 45 days prior to departure. For bookings made within 45 days of departure, full payment may be required at the time of booking confirmation. Payments can be made via credit card, bank transfer, WeChat Pay, or Alipay.
